Government and the financial services sector – working together for stronger, sustainable and inclusive economies
Our next Edinburgh Ethical Finance Round Table hosted by Baillie Gifford will explore how the Scottish and Irish Governments are engaging with the financial services sector to deliver stronger, sustainable and inclusive economies.
Scotland’s Economic Strategy identifies investment, innovation, inclusive growth and internationalisation as the priority areas that will inform future policy. At the next round table we will hear from and discuss this strategy with Scottish Government, understand some of the key initiatives under way within the financial services sector and debate the role of ethical finance.
We will also get an insight into a flagship financial services initiative set up by the Irish Government. Sustainable Nation Ireland was established in 2016 to promote Ireland as a world-leading hub for sustainable finance, business and innovation and accelerate Ireland’s transition to a low carbon economy.
The round table will provide an opportunity to compare and contrast the different Government approaches and discuss their strategies.
SPEAKERS
- Richard Rollison, Deputy Director, Innovation, Industries and Investment Division
